The Odyssey of Hiro the Claw Crane Rodent

One "usual and normal" Thursday afternoon, I was at the most enjoyable place in the mall --- Timezone --- *sparkling eyes* and I was playing the claw crane, as expected, the claw was just as a cheater as it could be, but unexpectedly, something went wrong...and the crane got to grab one toy out of the machine! And so, viola! Here comes Hiro, the Claw Crane Rodent.

I was so excited, so excited that I just immediately put him inside my bag! Lol. Then I thought of making him a blog-novela wannabe star.
I would like to intro to you guys, Hiro!  And let his escapade begin ---- until I get tired I guess. lol.

Steve Jobs: The Last "Lecture"

I overheard this before:
"Once you tried Mac, you will never go back."

Steve Jobs

That's what happened to me.

I may not be that able to buy all Mac gadgets I want, but I have become a huge fan of the "bitten white apple." But it seriously saddened me when I came to know about the news yesterday (24 August 2011) that the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, after 35 years (if my calculation is right) stepped-down and finally passed the baton (to Tim Cook). Indeed, Cook will have thousands and thousands, or even millions of shoes to fill. I also know that a gigantic number of people across the globe will be sighing over the news - especially the SJ fans, but the show must go on right?

Watch the video clip above from CNN.

Guy's A Killer!

Now this guy's a killer (redundant)! daaaaaaayuumm...

I think I will be posting some interesting dance videos once in a while. Or maybe more often than a while. >:]

Elevator Insider: Awkward

Elevator (or “Lift” in British lingo) is defined as “a cage or platform and its hoisting machinery for conveying people or things to different levels,” according to Merriam-Webster.
But I define it as a cage or platform (since it's 20th century, evolved with CCTV camera and mirrored walls) where people experience awkward situation coupled with deafening silence.

If you haven't been in an elevator yet then you've been missing these scenarios:

  1. 1. When you and your friends were so loud telling stories, talking about something, then you guys just shut up when you entered the lift. And all you can do is just look at each other and let your eyes speak for you.

  2. 2. You just don't know where to look. (I suggest don't look at the person next to you, especially if that's a girl wearing plunging necklines.)

  3. 3. You find it weird when people just try to press the button gazillion times, believing that it will make the 'vator go up or down, or close/open the door quicker.

  4. 4. You just don't know where to go when somebody just farted inside or a person came in with a foul smell.

  5. 5. It makes you irate when a person came in and just pressed one level up/down.

  6. 6. While inside the lift, you were so late for work, and you're at the 6th floor. Suddenly, the lift stopped at the 3rd floor. You feel mad because you're already rushing to time-in. Then a gorgeous maiden came in, and it seems like everything turned into slow-motion. Then you now wish that the elevator gets busted. LOL.

  7. 7. However, the best would be, if you're stuck in the elevator with... nobody!

So, who wants to ride the lift? Free ride everywhere. Just go inside any building in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Eastwood City, Pasig or in Makati Business District. Of course with the permission of the Security Guards or leave your ID first at the concierge. That's if they will allow you though. :]

Do you have any awkward moment at the elevator? Care to share?

    Iphone Is Man's Bestfriend (IMHO)

More often than not, I just use my Iphone (and it's a 3GS only) in replacement to my-soon-to-be Nikon DSLR D7000 (dreamy eyes). Though I don't get my desired image resolution most of the time, I still don't mind using it everyday. It's my bestfriend in terms of taking snapshots of life. I used to have my own Nikon Pocket Sized Digital Camera, but since my sister wanted it, so I gave it.

Anyway, I just typed down my sentiment just because I feel like doing so (LOL). I just have this urge to post something today. To give you sample shots of the time when you just really wish you have a camera (just because):

You might think, “what the heck?” Just a frog? Yea, it's just the small amphibian hanging out in our wall, yes, inside the house. I don't know how this kermit got inside, but I think, it's one of the scenes in life that might not come back around again. When I woke up in the morning, he's already gone (maybe he went to Sesame Street. Lol.)

With the rising Dengue cases here in the Philippines, I hope there's more of them somewhere in the area.

    Transformers Deja Vu

“Autobots, transform And roll out!” “More than meets the eye.” I don't how many times it has been used by people all over earth by kids and adults alike. If being a fan of this old-school-cartoon-turned-3D-movies is a crime then I am guilty! I have been battling with Decepticons since I was kid. Albeit, it gets into my nerves how come evil guys always have the coolest rides like jets, helicopters, planes - while we, the Autobots, only have the usual cars and a big red-blue colored truck! Anyway, as it's always been, good overthrows evil.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Optimus Prime

Much have been said already, I just want to share these photos I took while I was driving. When I see these kinds of vehicles/monster mobiles, it always reminds me of my battle in Cybertron with the evil Decepticons! :]

(Oh and by the way, he even have his own "Sam Witwicky!")

China And Japan: The Reality Makers

Asia is really trying to make it happen. An eco-friendly community. Close your eyes and picture this: solar paneled houses, electricity fueled cars, smog-less skies, trees and plants everywhere, water conservative homes, and recycled energies. Aaaahh... Much like as if it's futuristic, something like only in reels can happen, something like that can only happen when you daydream. But what if what we think that is futuristic and dream-like can now be considered realistic?

Two Powerhouses are now planning and very soon will be starting the construction of this type of city:

CHINA is currently on the move on making their Eco-City a reality. Tianjin (pronounced as Tiantsin) is a metropolis located in Northern China where the said city will be situated. China and Singapore tied up to make this project: Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City turned to actuality.

JAPAN. Is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of Tsunami. The world has seen how devastating and disturbing when Tsunami hit the Fashion Capital of Asia combined with multiple tremors and the up until present, most-affected and most feared, currently on the process of reviving Nuclear Power plants in Fukushima.

I am very much inspired and awed by the Japanese's innovation, determination, dedication, courage and passion. It's as if nothing happened, and now they are about to launch their new big project: The Eco-town.

Especially as being advocate of environment protection and conservation, these two countries make me proud of being an Asian.

Fast and Furious - Record Holders Philippines

Though I always monitor my speed, I just can't help but get a bit of worry, hoping that my plate number is not in THE gallery of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

    Sample from the list:

Have you checked it lately? Uhm, maybe your car is a "Hall-of-Fame-r." (Hope not though!)

    Choi Sung-Bong - Korea's Got Talent

Lots of autobiographies have been published about people from nobody to somebody – writers, celebs, politicians, artists, etc. A ginormous number of them became famous for only a certain span of time. Right after the peak of the popularity of their story, then, they will be silenced once again.

Some gets to be eaten alive by the success of their story, some tries to hold on, many just become “was” star.

If only people around them will not abuse their life and their story, if only they will not be deceived by fame and beauty of stardom; if only, just if only they will be a story of rags-to-riches and not a story of rags-to-riches-to-rags-once-again.

Here's another discovery from South Korea that I wish will bring much hope to people who have already lost it. That would inspire even the RTROA's to get up back on track.

    Seoul's Korea's Got Talent's 22 year-old Choi Sung-Bong:

1 Billion Automobiles in Planet Earth

We already hit the scale of 1 Billion units of cars world-wide according to the digits reported by WardsAuto.com

"In China, however, with its population of 1.3 billion, the vehicle per person ratio is 1:17.2. In comparison, India, the second most populous country in the world, with 1.17 billion people has a vehicle per person ration of 1:56.3."

    Kids Are fun!

T'was a Thursday afternoon, I was inside Timezone, my most-liked place inside any mall. I was killing some time before I get to be accepted to drive on the road again (because of color coding) playing some games - Cranes, Arcades, Basketball shoot-outs and all that. While just taking a few minutes rest, I saw this bunch of school kids (guessing they're all Grade 4-5 students) playing with one card, every single swipe, all of them play. T'was fun seeing lil kids play and argue who's gonna shoot next or who's gonna try after the other, then thought of giving em an early Christmas gift: A FREE GAME FOR ALL!

So, I gave myself freedom to approach all of them and asked if they all wanna play the basketball shootout... and if I just had an opportunity to take those Kodak moments - the glistening eyes and the smile on their faces while shouting: "Yes please! Thank you! Yes we want to!" The genuine joy that we can only see in lil kids... --- I think this is one of the reasons why, it was said in the bible: "Come to me like little children..."

It's funny how those smiles and glee made a stressful day out of me and replaced it with laughter and happiness.

Yea, I wasn't able to take a shot of those "slow-mo" scenes but I took my liberty of taking a picture of them while already playing. Just wanna share the photos:

I Wish I Can Drive Like This... lol

I am not a big fan of DC Shoes (adidas Originals instead) but this "Hollywood Megamercial" is the bomb!

From production to the camera angles, stunts to cinematography. Not mentioning the car used. And of course, don't forget the driver: Ken Block. Not a big car geek, but the gymkhana (first time I've heard about) installment is one heck of a kickbutt automobile installation! Much said, you should be viewing this video right about now!

Ridin' The Wall with Hyundai Accent

O.O ----> the look on my face while I was viewing the 2011 Commercial of Hyundai Accent.

I only have 3 words for y'all! "Brilliant concept-ah!" Who wouldn't want a car that you can drive on a wall?

My Damn Channel » Apple Store » Mark Malkoff: Apple Store Challenge

This one is pretty hilarious but having been to the Apple Store in San Francisco and New York, though I didn't really bring a goat or date a pretty chic there, but in a sense of the A Store being friendly and all that makes this video blog agreeable to me.

I wonder if the customer service of the A stores in the US is the same as here in the Philippines...? Who wants to try and care to share? :]

    Road Pain

I started working for a company situated in Libis, Quezon City in August. And guess what? My first 2 days, I was late for work. My estimated travel time from home to office is just 45 minutes (considering I bring my own ride) and I left home 20 minutes ahead of my adjudged commute time, just so I can give myself ample time to somehow prepare myself before actually checking in for work. I was driving along and was greatly impressed with the traffic along commonwealth– so light and relaxed. As I approach Katipunan, heaps of cars are lined up and all red tail lights are up, and the only words I thought of as I saw it were: “Uh oh.”

Yes, it was all because of the bad traffic caused by the cars making a U-ey to Ateneo and Miriam College, I was late. Just right after I passed the U-turn slots along the kingdoms of ADMU and MC before the bridge connecting Blue Ridge and Katipuan, it's like passing through a massive cumulonimbus cloud into a bright skied atmosphere.

Up unto this day, I have a love-hate relationship with Katipunan road. And mind you, I should always leave the house 1.5 hours heading to the office. It is my 3rd week now at work, and no more tardy records in my attendance. ***smirk

    will post photos soon. :j

    For Sale: Car Parts

(Okay, I didn't really think of what should be my first post but I'd still give it a go. Oh, and I don't have an Intro yet lol)

I am not a super geek with regards to automobiles, but lately, due to my desire to have a brand new car, I have been lurking in the wardrobe of the Chronicles of Carnia. As I go through the Forums and ad posts of different local car sites, I was astonished that there is a ginormous number of ads selling parts of vehicles. From car seats to arm rests, from gauges to basic knots. With the rising accounts of carjacking and carnapping cases in the Philippines, I now wondered where do they get all those, if not fresh, used car parts?

I reckon our government should also be looking into this matter, since most of the sellers even have a “place” or shop where customers can pick and buy the parts they wanted.
