MacBook Pro App Must-Haves

A list of must-have apps that I think you should check in addition to what you currently have now:

Sneaky Bastard (Free)

is a surveillance software for Mac OS X. One of its goals is to add a security layer to Mac notebooks that will enable the owner to get snapshots of persons using the machine, ideally, even after the event of theft. Additionally, it can also verify user logins.

Hidden is a small application which sits idle on your computer unitl you need it. When your computer gets stolen simply login to your online Tracking Control Panel and mark your computer as stolen. Hidden will kick into action and locate your stolen computer anywhere on the planet, collect photos of the thief and screen shots of the computer in use. 



Prey lets you keep track of your phone or laptop at all times, and will help you find it if it ever gets lost or stolen. It's lightweight, open source software, and free for anyone to use. And it just works.

AppCleaner allows you to uninstall your apps easily.

It searches the files created by the applications and you can delete them quickly.

There are a lot of ways to approach burning discs. Burn keeps it simple, but still offers a lot of advanced options.

iAlertU

iAlertU is the first of its kind alarm system for your Apple MacBook computer. Basically iAlertU is a car alarm for your Apple Mac. iAlertU uses the built in sudden motion sensor (SMS) device to detect movement of your Apple MacBook and triggers an audible and visual alarm.

The alarm can also be triggered by keyboard and mouse/trackpad movement. The alarm is designed to continue sounding even after the Apple MacBook screen has been closed.
